Program Officer
The International Republican Institute seeks a Program Officer
for its Ukraine Program in its DC office.
The PO designs and implements program strategy/long-range plans.
Monitors political and economic developments. Forms/maintains
relationships between IRI, partners and grantees. Implements
election observation missions, conferences, training seminars and
other activities. Identifies and develops fundraising goals, grant
proposals, budgets, reports and evaluations. Ensures compliance with
donor regulations and monitors budget. Represents IRI at public
functions.
Requires: Graduate degree in pol. science, intl relations or
related field and 3-5 years’related experience, or equivalent comb.
Knowledge of politics, economics, history and culture of Ukraine.
Strong communications and presentations skills in English; fluency
in Ukrainian a plus. Media/communications exp. desirable. Ability to
direct/participate in complex negotiations. Ability to work well
under pressure, work independently and as a member of a team;
identify complex problems and develop creative solutions. Exp. with
USG funding regulations/processes preferred; exp. with NGO mgmt
desirable. Travel 25-40% of time.
