Partners in Education School Director ProgramThe American Councils for International Education invites proposals from U.S. secondary schools to develop and host a citizenship education observation program for eight non-English speaking administrators from Ukrainian schools for the period September 30-October 9, 2000. The program should focus on observation of citizenship education programs, especially programs such as Project Citizen or We the People, student government, student elections, student newspapers, classroom instruction, extracurricular activities, and discussions with school principals, teachers, and school board members. The observation programs will be organized under the aegis of the Partners in Education (PiE), which is funded by the Department of State and administered by the American Councils.
