Job Opportunity: Political -Military Analyst

Job Description: This is an entry level position with a salary range of $29-30,000. The successful candidate will develop country profiles, country studies, political -military assessments and analyses, and force protection
assessments of political -military operations for senior Army officers. Individual will collect, coordinate, evaluate, and interpret political -military information on the 98 European and African countries of the U.S. Army, Europe Areas of responsibility (AOR) and Interest (AOI). Research and analysis will contribute to U. S. Army efforts to shape, establish, present and execute U. S. Army engagement policy, activities, and political -military efforts with the countries of
Central and Eastern Europe, the Newly Independent States of the former Soviet Union, and Africa. Work will include preparation of detailed technical briefings, political-military analytical reports, political-military assessments, and country studies, both in narrative and graphic forms.

Education: MA in International Relations, History or related field.

Required Skills: Proven research and analysis skills in international affairs. Experience in advanced internet querying techniques and procedures. Demonstrated ability to provide concise and expeditious analysis. Strong verbal and written communications skills. Demonstrated ability to use MS Word and PowerPoint to prepare reports and briefing materials. Knowledge of
U.S. Army operations, functions, and procedures helpful. Self-starter, able to provide quick-response analysis in time driven, pressure situations.

Desired Skills: Knowledge of European security architecture (NATO, WEU, OSCE, etc.). Appropriate regional foreign language proficiency ( oral and written) a plus.

Current security clearance also a plus.
