Program Coordination Intern Job Description: Center for Safe Energy Description: The Program Coordination Intern will work with the Deputy Director supporting a Leadership Training program to be held in Kazakhstan in October, 1999; researching energy conservation technologies and educational materials for projects in Ukraine; and supporting the administrative tasks of the Center for Safe Energy. Project Description: The Center for Safe Energy collaborates with Russian environmental activists in the promotion of energy conservation and the development of alternative energy technologies, and provides leadership training for Russian activists. The goals of the Brower Legacy Leaders Program are to train activists for careers in environmental advocacy and develop leadership skills, to assist EII projects with their staffing needs, and to prepare interns to assist the broader Bay Area community and national environmental movement.
