May 18 at 3:00 pm: Pianist Natalia Shkoda will perform works by the Ukrainian composer Viktor Kossenko: Eleven Etudes in the Form of Dances, Op.19 from her new CD released on the Toccata Classics label in the fall of 2006. Op. 19 offers listeners a synthesis of the late-Romantic piano tradition, neo-classical impulses expressed through the use of Baroque forms and dances, and elements of Ukrainian folk music.
