December 15, 2007 - Mykolai Show and Holiday Bazaar

The Taras Shevchenko School of Ukrainian Studies in Washington, D.C. will host a Mykolai Show and Holiday Bazaar on Saturday, Dec. 15th. Students will present a play, “Sviato Mykolaia,” at noon. Sviatyi Mykolai himself will then meet with each grade/age group (starting with the youngest). For ‘Nebesna Kantseliaria’ (9:15-11:45 am), please bring only one item per child ($2 fee), wrapped and clearly labeled (child’s full name, grade/age). The Bazaar (9:30-12:00) will include Varenyky (25 for $14, potato-filled or cheese-filled, frozen), holubtsi, home-baked goods (torte slices, makivnyky, medivnyky, fancy cookies, children’s sweets), students’ crafts, and other vendors’ items (DVDs, cards, books).
