Alexander Shurinov was born in the town of Cherkassy. However, his life and artistic creativity are inextricably connected with Crimea. Shurinov's paintings capture the beauty and the many moods of the dramatic Black Sea coast with its picturesque towns and harbors. He paints in a vigorous, impressionistic style filled with textures and colors of the constantly shifting light and movement of the sea. Alexander Shurinov lives in Simferopol, the capital of Crimea, and travels extensively throughout Crimea.
