Taras Shevchenko CommemorationThursday, March 9, 2000 at 4 pmThe Ukraina Citizens International Association invites everyone to an event commemorating Taras Shevchenko in Washington, D.C. at the Taras Shevchenko monument (22nd and P Streets, NW, WDC). A cultural gala evening at the Church of the Pilgrims Hall (across from the monument) at 6 pm. Poetry reading in Ukrainian and English, choral performance. Special exhibit and sale of Ukrainian books and souvenirs.
