Place: 3236 South 5th Street, Arlington, VA 22204 Given By: Natalka Kost Food and beverages will be available, but feel free to bring any other beverage you may prefer. This is a great way for the Ukes in the area to get together, and get to know who's who. Get off at exit 71 off of Interstate 66, (Fairfax Drive and Glebe Road) and at the second light make a right turn unto South Glebe Road (Route 120). Go through 8 traffic lights, approximately 1 ½ miles. (You will pass Hecht's, Kentucky Fried Chicken, McDonald's and Route 50). At the 9th light, make a left turn unto South 5th Street. (There is a Video store on the corner and a fire station across the street). After you cross Jackson Street (which is the first street), the house, 3236 South 5th Street is the second house on the right, the only one with fence. From East 66: Take exit 71, (Glebe Road) and make a left turn at the light unto South Glebe Road (Route 120). Go through 11 traffic lights, approximately 1 ¾ miles. (You will pass Hecht's, Kentucky Fried Chicken, McDonald's and Route 50). At the 12th light, make a left turn unto South 5th Street. (There is a Video store on the corner and a fire station across the street). After you cross Jackson Street (which is the first street), the house, 3236 South 5th Street is the second house on the right, the only one with fence. From 395: Get off at exit 5B for North Glebe Road and at the light, make a right turn unto North Glebe Road (Route 120). Go approximately 2 miles and make a right turn unto South 5th Street. (There is a Video store on the corner and a fire station across the street). After you cross Jackson Street (which is the first street), the house, 3236 South 5th Street is the second house on the right, the only one with fence. Park anywhere on the street. The most convenient metro stops are Ballston, Virginia Square or Clarendon. A cab ride should cost you $2.50 or less from any of those stops.
