Soviet Pollution

The Washington Center for Photography is showing an exhibit by German
photographer Gerd Ludwig entitled "SOVIET POLLUTION."

For the past six years, photographer Gerd Ludwig has chronicled the lethal legacy of pollution in the former Soviet Union. He traveled extensively throughout Ukraine, documenting the impact of such environmental disasters on the people, especially the children. Included are images from CHORNOBYL, KYIV, PRYPIAT, LVIV and CHERKASY.

The exhibit will run through October 31, 1998

Gallery hours: noon to 5 pm Wednesday through Saturday, and noon to 8:30 pm on the third Thursday of each month.
