Finance Director Ukraine
Position description:
The Finance Director Ukraine will manage the local finance team. Reporting to
the International CFO, based in Warsaw. He will have full responsibility for
financial issues in his jurisdiction. Specific tasks / responsibilities listed
below:
Responsibilities and Key Tasks
- Restructure the organization of the business to improve corporate
governance and controls and to minimize tax in line with work already under
way.
- Work closely with local partners and the company operational management
to continue to develop and invest our substantial profitable business in a
controlled manner including review of the program acquisition, production
cost and makes vs. buy decisions.
- Other tasks / responsibilities to be defined by the company.
Candidate profile:
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- A finance professional with a minimum of 5 - 10 years’ experience
- A strong people manager with a high degree of integrity and who is clear
on the need to maintain the highest level of ethics and standards.
- One who has the ability to instill change where necessary, and who,
while sympathetic to others’ ensure that the job gets done
- Ability to work independently of the company management towards the
common goals with only occasional direct supervision
- A ‘hands-on’, ‘can do’ attitude, one who is motivated by the task at
hand as well as managing day-to-day affairs
- Demonstrates high levels of organizational awareness in every aspect of
the total job
- A confident, outgoing and positive person who is decisive, committed and
strong-willed without being stubborn
- Experience in managing a western investment in
the ECE market, co-operating with local partners
- Ideally, exposure to a media business including production, program
acquisition or ad sales.
- Fluency in both English and Russian
Work Location:
The position is based in Ukraine.
Compensation:
The compensation will be commensurate with the experience and skill required,
plus relocation and some housing etc (if necessary).
